Entries for the NSPA’s Pacemaker, Story of the Year contests due June 17


The entry deadline for National Scholastic Press Association’s Broadcast Pacemaker and Broadcast Story of the Year contest is June 17.

Entries for the Broadcast Pacemaker, which is the highest honor the NSPA gives, must have been broadcast between July 1, 2014 and June 17, 2015. Pacemakers are awarded in Daily, Weekly / Biweekly, and Monthly or Less categories. There is a limit of one entry per publication.

The winners will be honored at the JEA/NSPA Fall National Convention in Orlando, Florida, Nov. 12-15.

Students can submit Broadcast Story of the Year entries for News, Feature and Sports stories produced and shown between July 1, 2014, and June 17, 2015. Stories can be no longer than 10 minutes in length, and there is a limit of two entries per category per publication.
